Showing shoppers what theirs is worth
While people browse, eBay already knows what those items sell for. These modules point it out: “these go for about $50. Have one?”

The idea
Lots of buyers own things worth selling and never list them. They aren’t on eBay to check prices; they’re shopping or browsing. But when someone is looking at a kind of item, we know what it sells for. A small module can say so, and offer a one-tap, pre-filled listing.
Three modules, three reasons people don’t sell
Each targets a different barrier, and only one shows per session.
- 1Not knowing the price: a typical sold price, the range and real recent sales.
- 2No reason to act now: added only when demand is genuinely high, like 40 listings against 2,300 searches this week.
- 3It feels like effort: a lighter, category-level nudge for casual shoppers browsing low-price items.
A lesson from earlier tests
A generic “sell your stuff” banner had raised listing attempts but lowered completions. These modules use evidence about the specific item instead, and sit a few results down rather than at the top.
