Bounties for what buyers want most
List an item eBay knows is in high demand, and earn ad credits to boost everything else you sell.

The idea
Casual sellers have choices: Vinted, Facebook Marketplace, eBay. Hot Items makes eBay the place to list the things buyers want most. It’s fun to browse even if you aren’t selling: a live look at what’s in demand. If you own one, listing it earns you a bounty in ad credits.
Why it wins three ways
- 1It activates casual sellers with a concrete reason to list today.
- 2It brings the most in-demand items onto eBay instead of a competitor.
- 3It turns sellers into ads users. Credits go toward promoting their slower listings, so they see what ads do and are more likely to pay for them next time.
How it works
Demand blends search volume, watchers, how few listings exist and how fast similar items sell. The hottest items take more space on the page, and the bounty grows with demand. The plan: prove the demand signal moves listings on its own before turning the credits on.
